Refinery Shutdown

RESCHEDULING OF THE PLANNED SAPREF SHUT-DOWN

Please be advised that a flash fire at SAPREF refinery on Friday 17th April 2015 has necessitated an earlier than planned shut-down of the refinery, effective Monday 20th April 2015.

The planned shut-down as communicated in our letter dated 13th April 2015 will no longer run from 1st May 2015 until 30th June 2015, but instead will now run from 20th April 2015 to 30th June 2015.

Shell South Africa’s stock situation remains stable at this stage as a significant amount of planning has already been done ahead of the planned shut-down. With the shut-down being moved forward these plans are now being fast tracked.

Rain Storm

Good Morning All

On Saturday evening Ladysmith was hit by a massive rain storm.  Most of our electricity at the office has been knocked out.  We hope to have it restored during the day.

Deliveries will continue normally.  We don’t anticipate any disruptions in supply but will keep you updated.

Saldanha Storage On Track

Construction starts on R1.3bn Saldanha LPG terminal

Construction has officially started on the R1.3-billion Saldanha liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) import and storage terminal, in Saldanha Bay – a project aimed at remedying rampant LPG shortages in the Western Cape, and dismantling what Sunrise Energy MD Barthlo Harmse describes as a monopolised LPG supply chain market.
